A SCHOOL WITH A STORY
Long before Pak-Up existed, this building was a small Chinese language school, later transforming into a primary school teaching the children of Krabi. The school closed its doors in the early 1900s as bigger schools were built around town, but its quirky charm wasn’t forgotten.
In 2010, Pak-Up Hostel opened, bringing backpackers from around the world into the space while preserving the legacy of the school. From the décor to the rooms and original architecture, little reminders of its past are everywhere during your stay.
